Tenon Cutting Tool

A lot of pen turners, for one reason or another, just hate cutting a tenon that is required for the installation of a centerband on some pen kits.  Arizona Silhouette Inc. to the rescue!  Here is a handy little tool that makes cutting a tenon a breeze!  I demonstrate how easy it is to use in my video.  I also have used a tool like this to cut a groove in pen blanks as well into bowls (see below) to add a band of crushed stone as an embellishment.

The cutting portion of the tool is made from High Speed Steel (HSS), the ferrule is solid brass and the handle is turned from Delrin.  You will find multiple uses for this tool and it will quickly become one of your favorites.
