Norseman 1/4" Drill Bit

Union made in the USA from High Speed Steel (HSS). These bits are made to drill through hardened stainless steel plate (30+ on the Rockwell "C" scale). These drills are so sharp (point and outer cutting surfaces) that they will easily cut skin if not properly handled. The flutes have a nitro carburized coating that inhibits heat & material build-up. They are coated with an amber gold anti-friction surface treatment and are ground with a 135 degree split point tip. These drills will easily outperform cobalt bits.This is the best series of drills that I have ever used. They are not inexpensive and you get what you pay for. With proper handling these bits should last you for years when used to drill pen blanks.
